Claire Foy on the Poignant Film, Women Talking

We recently met with Claire Foy to talk about the poignant film Women Talking in which she plays the character of Salome. She spoke with us about how, to her, Salome was always someone with fierce convictions and how the source material of the book gave her a lot of background in developing her as well.  In working with the rest of the cast there were a lot of technical elements which went into filming much longer takes for ensemble scenes but she found there to be an element to this in which her theater experience lent itself to. In filming Salome's central monologues, director Sarah Polley really gave her the space to explore the choices she ended up making for herself and through this freedom she found a lot of truth in these moments. Throughout the experience of making the film she really found it to be something which bonded the cast in a number of ways.
