Becki Newton loves her character in The Lincoln Lawyer

As The Lincoln Lawyer enters its third season Becki Newton remains grateful for getting to play a character like Lorna who from the beginning had so much on the page for her.  Early conversations with the showrunner and writers helped her in understanding and knowing more of Lorna's backstory.  One of the biggest appeals of the role was the opportunity to step into a drama tv series for the first time coming from her vast experience in recognizable roles in the comedy world from Ugly Betty to How I Met Your Mother.  Much like her character, she felt very comfortable with a lot of aspects of making the show alongside getting to learn a few new skills such as the legal language for certain scenes.  With her characters journey through law school over previous seasons she finally had the chance to step into the shoes of Lorna being a fully fledged lawyer for this season.  This led to very specific conversations around what her first outfit in the courtroom as a lawyer would be since Lorna's wardrobe has always been very true. to her own personal style.  One of her favorite elements of the character is how Lorna has always been someone who is very true to herself and comfortable even when she is a fish out of water and part of what keeps the role interesting for her.
