The Cast & Co-Creator of Schmigadoon! on Moving to Schmicago

We chatted with the cast of Apple TV+ Schmigadoon! about the shows newest season celebrating Schmicago through the shows second season. For a lot of the cast, having the chance to explore their characters in entirely new ways informed their performances. Paul Cinco, the show creator, spoke about how he listens extensively to songs inspiring the season before starting to write the musical numbers.These numbers took a lot of inspiration from Broadway classics, but also create their own space in the landscape of the show.

For Tituss Burgess, he loved the chance to step into the show as a fan of season one. Aaron Tveit shared how it was a new experience getting to play a version of his character who was so loose and free with all of the 70’s inspired aspects at play. The cast as a whole spoke to the creative process of the show and how it taps into their passions for musical theater.
