The Cast and Creatives Behind Queen Charlotte on Building Upon the Bridgerton Universe

Getting the latest from the ton, we sat down with the cast and creatives behind everyone’s new favourite Bridgerton spin off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. We were joined by director & executive producer Tom Verica, executive producer Betsy Beers, and cast India Amarteifio, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas, Golda Rosheuvel, Sam Clemmett, and Freddie Dennis.

They each spoke to the incredible writing on the show and how the first two seasons of Bridgerton gave them a world to build upon with their characters. For Golda Roshuevel, she was filming both Queen Charlotte and Bridgerton at the same time which gave an unparalleled richness to the relationship she had with her character. For India Amarteifio she found that there was a lot of freedom in creating her own version of the same character Rosheuvel has already crafted as this comes several years earlier in her life, bringing her to a very different space where so much is new to her in her world. For Corey Mylchrest, the biggest challenge was capturing George’s struggles with mental health and finding the delicacy with which he portrays this in the series.

The group also shared what went into filming those final moments where we meet the characters underneath the bed in the show’s heart-wrenching finale.
