Russell Howard on Stand-up Comedy & His Current Tour

For Russell Howard, writing and conceptualizing standup comedy isn't just about the process of writing in the moment, but instead is a journey of looking at everything in everyday life for inspiration. Drawing material from himself, his family members and the world around him he purposefully interweaves comedy which touches on the personal but also reaches into the political and cultural landscape around him. Having had the opportunity to perform internationally around the world he recognizes the importance of tailoring his material to each location and audience but also finds new material along the way even when touring the same show.

He spoke to us about these creative inspirations and more. Watch the full conversation below.
