Mike Schur, Ted Danson and the cast of A Man on the Inside take us behind the scenes

In talking about their Netflix series A Man on the Inside Ted Danson, Stephanie Beatriz, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada and creator & showrunner Michael Schur. shared details of what went into creating the critically acclaimed show.

For Mike Schur the source material of the documentary it was based on provided so much rich material to work from. In writing the show he wanted to create a show which underneath its premise was full of both heart and comedy with the central relationships being the core of the story.

Ted Danson enjoyed getting to play his character and especially building the relationships he develops with other characters along the way as he comes out of his shell and reconnects with his daughter. For all of them it was an incredibly collaborative experience and a show that they thoroughly enjoyed working on together.
