Kenan Thompson on Sitcom Kenan & His Time with SNL

Kenan Thompson talks about the second season of his sitcom Kenan from how he wanted to create more space to play within his character this season, but also how important all of the supporting characters are to him in the show and how he loves creating a space to highlight the work of his co-stars including Chris Redd.  

As the longest serving cast member on Saturday Night Live he spoke to the process of creating the weekly show and how he finds context in his characters for sketches, what he does to land the jokes and how the show has been such a formative part of his career over the years.
