Diane Warren on her documentary and appreciation for Oscar Nominations

Diane Warren and director Bess Kargman talked about their collaboration together in making a documentary on Diane’s life, Diane Warren: Relentless. They spoke about meeting and building trust with one and other, and spoke very honestly about how it took a little time for Diane to feel comfortable opening up.

Diane shared that she still gets excited at being nominated of the Oscars even after so many nomination, something the film captures with a scene showing the annual sleepover she hosts with friends to watch the announcement. Bess spoke about interviewing not only Diane for the film but also so many of her collaborators in the industry as well. She also shared that while Diane admittedly prefers not to try to discuss her songwriting process this allowed her to show us part of the journey on screen instead.
