Caitriona Balfe on What she Loved About Making Belfast

Caitriona Balfe shared how she fell in love with the process of making Belfast with Director Kenneth Brannagh and co-star Jamie Dornan.

She spoke to how Kenneth captured moments in between the tensions rising from the troubles in the film with her and the rest of the cast being given a freedom and playfulness to shape the day to day family dynamic. She spoke to how one of the hardest scenes to film was the monologue she delivers later in the film since she had to do so without a scene partner to play off of because of the camera placement and the challenges which came with this moment.

Balfe also shared why she has so much love for the infamous dance scene she shares with Dornan because of the light it brings to the film and everything it captures about their characters relationship dynamic.
