Sirens Creator Molly Smith Metzler, Cast Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock & More Discuss the Netflix Series

We sat down with Sirens creator & showrunner Molly Smith Metzler and cast Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, Glenn Howerton, Felix Solis, and Bill Camp to talk about creating the Netflix series. In writing the show, Molly Smith Metzler wanted to explore the idea behind mythology of sirens to look at how we perceive people - looking at the idea of sirens being something people told stories off but that were possibly far from the actual truth.

The show centers around two sisters played by Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock who looked at the shared histories of their characters but also how they have become opposing forces to one and other. In particular for Milly who spoke to wanting to have her character switch everything about herself to adapt into her surroundings from her voice to her mannerisms and even wardrobe. Meghann shared how her character is also trying to escape her past through a series of choices which are ultimately self destructive to her.

Both sisters ultimately find that they have to confront their past and the choices they have made along the way in order to try to find a way to move past it and to be able to reconnect with one and other rebuilding their relationship.
