London Thor and Derek Luh on Sharing a Character in Gen V

London Thor and Derek Luh met with us to chat about the pressures of expanding the universe of The Boys in Prime Video’s Gen V, as well as the advantages and difficulties of sharing their character, Jordan. They spoke about the process of developing Jordan’s backstory and the small incorporations of their own personalities into the character’s favorite foods and movies. These personal touches are further shown through their stunt work, as they come from different athletic backgrounds that led to beneficial differences in their versions of the character during action sequences. While they admitted that there were minor challenges to filming parts where Jordan changes gender mid-scene, they applauded the writers and producers for the care they put into planning the switches. The two noted that underneath the superpowers and gore, the show is a coming-of-age story and they a large portion of society can relate to.
