The cast of Somebody Somewhere on the bittersweet experience of saying goodbye
In speaking about the final season of Somebody Somewhere actor/writer/executive producer Bridget Everett, creators/writers/executive producers Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, and cast, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jeff Hiller, Murray Hill, and Tim Bagley spoke about their experience and love in making the show together.
One of the important themes of the show throughout was the idea of found family and creating this with the people around yourself in life. They noted how this was something audiences always noted and connected to within the show. In knowing they were making the shows final season they all found even more deepened relationships amongst one and other both as their characters, and off screen.
As the show has always celebrated music with Bridget’s character Sam having a handful of musical numbers throughout the run, they immediately knew the show should end with a musical number in a way which would bring all of its main characters together in celebration.
