Taskmaster Hosts Greg Davies & Alex Horne on Making Comedy Gold

Taskmaster hosts Greg Davies and Alex Horne shared details on what makes comedy gold for the show. Davis shared the journey of finding his judging style for contestants on the show. Horne spoke to the genesis of the show from being an Edinburgh Fringe Festival stage show one off to where it is now. He divulged that the tasks aren’t tested beforehand because everyone approaches them differently and so the magic always happens on screen for the first time. For the two of them in hosting the show for several seasons, the dynamic which keeps it fresh and exciting for them both is the fact that each season brings a new set of contestants with their own group dynamic.

Greg Davies is the `Taskmaster' in this game show that challenges the wit and wisdom of five celebrities, who are all putting their reputations on the line. Sidekick Alex Horne assists Davies in setting up unique and ridiculous tasks for the competitors, which include painting a picture of a horse whilst riding a horse, and making a portrait of a celebrity using only toilet rolls. The competition is further fuelled by the fact that the prize pot is made up of each person's personal possessions, which they will lose to the overall winner.
