Creator Rose Matafeo on the Romantic TV Series Starstruck

Creator, writer & actor Rose Matafeo discusses the journey of creating and writing the series as it goes into its second season. She shares the path of finding a real shorthand between its two romantic leads and what she loves about playing the character of Jess across from Nikesh Patel. In creating two seasons of the show she also found that the comedy and emotion both deepened and had even more heart at this point. Matafeo also opened up about how she loves playing a character who makes decisions in the moment and then considers the ramifications of her actions after the fact.

Written by and starring Edinburgh Comedy Award-winning comedian, writer and actor Rose Matafeo, `Starstruck' follows the life of Jessie, a millennial who lives in East London. She juggles between her two jobs in order to afford the overpriced apartment that she shares with her best friend, Kate.
