Elisabeth Moss and Wagner Moura on Creating Shining Girls and the Journey of Grief

Elisabeth Moss & Wagner Moura spoke with us about their new Apple TV+ series Shining Girls.  They immediately connected with one and other off screen and feel that this really informed the central relationship and friendship between their characters, Kirby and Dan, sharing that there were even rewrites to the scripts in response to their chemistry to bring this to the foreground even more.

As a producer and director on the series, Moss was tasked with not only playing the lead in the show, but also thinking very visually about the series and even filming some of her own characters pivotal scenes.

They discussed the way that both of their characters are on their own journeys with trauma and grief, and how at the center, this is what connects them most.
