Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller, and co-creators Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen on Creating Heart & Humor in Somebody Somewhere

Actors Bridget Everett and Jeff Hiller, and co-creators Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen shared how they worked together collaboratively to find both the heart and the humor at the center of HBO Max’s Somebody Somewhere. For Bridget Everett, Sam’s connection to singing was the most identifiable aspect of the character for her in understanding the feeling of how not singing leaves you feeling incomplete. Co-Creators Bos and Thureen wanted to bring Everett’s skills as well as details from her world into the show with small easter eggs for her fans such as the store named Tender Moments.
