Liam Neeson on Creating Complex Juxtapositions for In the Land of Saints and Sinners

We had the opportunity to speak to Liam Neeson and director Robert Lorenz about crafting the contrasting aspects of the characters for the film In the Land of Saints and Sinners. For Liam, playing a character like Finbar was very natural to him, and he praised the well-written script for its depth and intricacies of the characters. He particularly enjoyed working with Jack Gleeson to show Finbar’s ability to find humanity in others, despite his darker side. Liam discussed his character’s interesting relationship to nature and highlighted the film’s focus on interpersonal aspects, rather than plain action sequences.
